FIREMAN FOR A DAY
Ty had a memorable 7 days fulfilling his dream of being a fireman and seeing real gorillas
His bon voyage party at the Milton Fire Department was unforgettable. Ty was surprised to look out his window and see three fire trucks at his door. The firemen outfitted Ty with his own fire department uniform and was taken to a pizza party with family and friends held at the Milton fire station. He also was given a fire protection suit and put out a fire with the help of the firemen.
The toy firetruck he received will keep his memories of being a fireman for ever present. Look closely at the pictures. Watch for the two angels. They are the wonderful Make a Wish volunteers, Michelle and Erika that made all this possible.
Ty's life long ambition has been to interact with monsters and great apes. Ty's visit to Gorilla Haven in Georgia fulfilled this consuming desire.
After entering Gorilla Haven in a Jurassic Park manner, Ty met Joe, a 350 pound silver back gorilla. Joe has not fared well in life before entering Gorilla Haven, a sanctuary for non-conforming gorillas. Ty felt an immediate bond with Joe. He met all of Ty's fantasies for a marvelous character.
