Women who are obese increase their risk of developing ovarian cancer by 80 percent, according to a comprehensive study of nearly 94,500 women, the hormonal effects linked to overweight responses making them more prevalent.

The relationship was only found in women who had never used hormone replacement therapy for menopausal symptoms.

The weight gain in postmenopausal women leads to increased production of estrogen, which in turn may stimulate growth of ovarian cells and a role in the development of ovarian cancer.

Previous studies have found an increased risk of ovarian cancer occurs among women who used HRT, but in this case the body weight did not seem to take effect.

There is also a link between obesity and increased breast cancer risk in women who have gone through menopause and the two forms of cancer are closely related.

In the UK there are about 6,800 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer each year and about 4,400 deaths.

In nine out of ten people are expected to be obese or overweight by 2050 and this number will suffer from ovarian cancer development because of their weight.

The results could help doctors to monitor overweight women who have not used HRT for signs of disease.

The symptoms can be vague and include abdominal pain and bloating, fatigue, weight loss and urinary symptoms.

This is the most logical and obvious reasons. If a child grows is that it garnered more calorie intake than the body requires to function. The remainder is converted into fat, which from a certain proportion justifies the designation of obesity.

He eats poorly
If a child is too high in calories, not necessarily eat it beyond his hunger, and that’s the whole problem can be eaten there but quite simply wrong, that is to say not enough balanced, focusing on sweet and fatty foods (pizzas, burgers, fries, cakes, soda’s .) meat, fish, fruits and vegetables ..

He does not move enough
Combined with poor diet, lack of physical exercise contributes significantly to childhood obesity. Unfortunately, television and video games burn fewer calories than cycling or swimming pool!

The genetic causes of obesity
All children are not born equal when it comes to obesity. Studies reveal that obesity is genetically inherited in 25 to 45% of cases.

The medical world describes the cause of obesity as follows: “An increase in body fat (both visceral and non visceral (subcutaneous) requires that energy intake will increase more energy expenditure.” This brief description is followed by a prolonged “however “and is designed for physicians who are trained to understand what is written.

In summary, obesity has many causes, among which are included genetic disorders, gland disorders, hormonal disorders and metabolic disorders, to name a few. Suffice it to say that if you want to find the real reason for their obesity, it will be necessary to consult a doctor.

The general opinion on obesity could also be summarized as: “people who are not great because”, but this is only a popular point of view, trust me I know, I used to be obese. Obesity is an epidemic, a disease of enormous proportions that is spreading rapidly throughout the world.

The extra mass caused by being overweight has many consequences, adding a heavy risk index in the obesity of the person’s chances of survival. Having to heave the extra weight, the individual is also less inclined to be physically active, which launched a vicious circle causing a worsening problem.

The extra weight also puts increased pressure on the body of bones and joints, causing all sorts of aches and pains. Often early arthritis set in. In most cases, obesity is caused by constantly eating the wrong kinds of food, which leads to much higher levels of cholesterol in the bloodstream. This, in turn impedes the smooth functioning of the heart and blood vessels, which can result in high blood pressure and heart failure.

The important added layers of fat are also causing another problem: apnea or cessation of breathing during sleep. As the muscles around the throat and neck completely relax during the early stages of deeper sleep, the weight of the fatty tissues causes the throat collapse, blocking the airflow. This breaks the natural cycle of recovery, adding to already present.

Obesity is associated with many medical problems, most of which improve with weight loss. Both men and women who are obese have an increased risk of:

The reduction in life expectancy

Diabetes mellitus

Gallstones

Hypertension (high blood pressure)

Osteoarthritis

Coronary heart disease

Abnormal blood lipids

Stroke

Sleep Apnea

Cancer (colon and prostate cancer in men, uterine and gallbladder cancer in women)

Today, most professionals to measure obesity according to Quenelle’s BMI or Body Mass Index.

Is the name of Belgian scientist, Adolph Quenelle, who invented the method? The BMI is a measurement technique to produce a value that takes into accounts a person’s height, sex and weight. It is compared with a chart that is obtained through the application of statistics (which implies that only defined after making a large number of measurements) so that the results were evident in relation to half.

BMI is calculated from a person’s height and weight as follows:

BMI = body weight (in kilograms) / height (in meters) squared.

A BMI between 25 and 30 kg/m2 is considered overweight.

A BMI above 30 kg/m2 is considered obese.

A waist circumference greater than 35 inches (88 cm) in women and 40 inches (102 cm) in men indicates an excessive amount of fat in the abdominal area.

There are many BMI calculators online, you can find one easily by doing a search online

for the “Centers for Disease Control and Prevention” by typing “BMI calculator”.

Obesity is causing the global economy to lose billions of dollars each year.
